I have purchased a Dell Wireless embedded mobile broadband adapter to install into the E Laptop. Physically everything lines up, it has a mini-pci express port under the key board currently occupied by the embedded WLAN module. The problem as I see it is not that the Wireless Card is Physically incompatible with the Inspiron laptop, but rather that Dell chooses to make the software incompatible purposefully.
